Year 5 News

This week we looked closely at the parts of a flower, finding each part in a real flower and naming each part.  The children worked well in groups to do this.

Thanks to all the parents and other family members and friends who came to our make it morning.  We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

Year 3 Make it morning

Good Evening,

Firstly, thank you so very much to all of you who came to make it morning. I did wonder if we would all fit in the room but we did and had a great time. The children clearly loved every second, nearly as much as the adults 😂😂. The children were a real credit to all, polite, enthusiastic and supportive of each other.

Secondly, I must make a confession. We took lots of photos of the morning but I have not been able to import them onto my computer to post, sorry, I will seek technical assistance and hopefully post  very soon.

Another confession, the weekly spelling test did not take place today! I will test children on the spellings next week. Don't worry if new ones are on spelling shed. I will not test the children until they have had them in their reading diaries for at least a week.

It was great to see many of you at the Christmas Fayre too. Hopefully we are all getting into the Christmas spirit, ho ho ho. Remember though, keep on reading, doing all the online homework and most importantly coming to school each with a smile and ready to learn 😀.

Thank you again for all your support.

Have a great weekend 🎄🎄🎄

Nursery FS1 Update 🎄

Our Shining Stars this week have all been from the afternoon, we have had Emilia, Natalia and Jakub. All children have had a lovely week enjoying to explore lots of different Christmas themed activities.
Emilia is really growing in confidence and enjoys leading all the children to join her play ideas, attempting to communicate all the time. Natalia and Jakub both love to follow and copy what some of the other children are doing. They all like to join hands while singing and dancing together.
A big thank you to all three children's parents, Emilia's Mum, Natalia's Dad and Jakub's Mum and Dad for making the effort and taking the time to come in for a 'Stay and Play' session at School. This was a great opportunity for them to see what their children enjoy doing and to discuss their children's development and what to work on next. Thank you very much Mrs Edwardson ðŸ˜Š

Mini Models News

This week in Mini Models we have been very festive.
The children have been talking about Santa Claus and what they would like for Christmas.
They helped to decorate the Christmas tree and Mini Models with all of the lovely decorations that they had made on 'Make It' day.
We painted some shiny gold and silver stars and chose one for the top of our tree.
We made some delicious festive biscuits too!
We have been practising all of the songs for our Christmas performance which is on Friday 13th December and we are really looking forward to it.
If you have any questions about upcoming dates please come and speak to us.
