Next week children in Year 1 will be completing the Phonics screening test.
The children have had lots of practise already to prepare them but I would like them to keep rehearsing their sounds at home too. Therefore I will not be setting any spellings or homework this week. I have given each child another copy of the letter I sent earlier in the year which lists the sounds the children have been practising. Please could you keep practising these with your children and make up words containing these sounds for your child to practise reading.
Next week we will be have short burst Phonics sessions at the start of the morning. Please could you make sure your child arrives punctually so that they do not miss any of the session.
