Well done to Oskar, Grace, Eric, Stan, Sonny and Blake for a great job learning their spellings this week. They were a bit trickier this week than last week so we will revisit them before too long just so that the children can perfect those spellings that they didn't manage to get quite right!
This week's homework should help the children with next week's spellings! The English activity is about using words which deal with possibility and the maths activity is about decimal numbers. Each side has a challenge 1 (which all children should attempt), a challenge 2 (which some of the children will want to have a go at) and a challenge 3 (which some of the children might want to attempt).
Have the children told you all about the stories they have written this week? They have been so excited to write and are really proud of what they have produced. I can't wait to read them all properly over the weekend. Ask you child about their story and what happens in it. I'm sure you'll be impressed. Next week, we will be writing more stories, this time about the Vikings and Anglo-Saxons.
This week was our last swimming lesson before the Christmas holidays so the children won't need their kits next week. They will, however, continue to need their PE kits in school everyday. There have been several children recently who haven't had their kit for PE lessons so please make sure they bring it school each Monday and leave it on their peg until Friday.
Miley and Olivia represented the school in a boccia competition on Thursday. They had lots of fun and some of the children brought back a medal.
Don't forget that Christmas dinner day is next Wednesday (12th) and that Friday is Christmas jumper day. For those children who usually have sandwiches, please send the dinner money into school on Monday.
