Today is World Autism Awareness Day. The children have enjoyed raising awareness of ASD through different activities. They have enjoyed sharing their similarities and more importantly celebrating their differences. In particular, a big thank you goes out to Y3 and Y4 (and Miss Kerry, Mrs Manders and Miss Richardson) who have really gone to town in raising awareness. Year 3 shared their similarities and differences, learnt about the Trummies and created fact files to explore how the Trummies are all different but also the same. They even got a special WAAW day tattoo courtesy of Miss Kerry and Mrs Doyle. Year 4 spent time having some brilliant discussion about how we are all different but also have many things in common. A special mention to Miss Kerry, Mrs Doyle and Mrs Bradbury for rocking the blue too ;-).
Remember we are all different but that's beautiful!
