This week the whole class had a special mention in assembly for being so focused and motivated to master the Grid Method to solve Multiplication problems. A very big well done to everyone!
Individual special mentions went to: Sophie and Alix.
Sophie always tries her very best to present her work beautifully. Her work is so lovely to read and mark - keep it up Sophie!
Alix has blown our socks off this week, in all his learning, he has been very motivated! He workled independently to solve Multiplication problems in Maths and in English has cared about his handwriting - which is showing progress.Well done!
Our Golden Award Winner this week is awarded to Anya.
She works consistently well at school and at home with her reading. Recently, in guided reading she has been more confident to answer questions asked of her in more detail. Keep it up - well done!
This week only 11 children made it into the reading raffle. The number of children in the raffle were down quite a few on last week. Please ensure that your child is reading daily at home and it is recorded in their diaries :)
On a high, this week has been the BEST spelling results so far since I have taken over in Year 3. The majority of the class were successful achieving 10/10 and those that didn't quite make it achieved 9/10 or 8/10. Well done! I wonder if we can work together as a class and do the same next week? Remember a little practise every day will help. Work hard because you have one day less to learn them.
This week, we have been preparing for the Easter celebration. In class we have designed an Easter Bonnet - following Mick Yates special Easter Bonnet Assembly. Last week, your child brought home their own design and was asked to make their Easter Bonnet at home - as their homework task. Your child has been asked to bring in their Bonnet on Thursday 11th April (the last day of school before breaking up) so that we can share them with each other.
I hope this clarifies any queries any parents have around this. If not please pop in school early next week so that your child/ children don't miss out on the sharing opportunity.
Have a lovely weekend.
See you all on Monday, Miss Kerry and Mrs Doyle :)
