This week in maths, we learnt about 3d shapes and made some nets to make our own 3d shapes. The children really enjoyed this, despite it being so tricky! Ask them to log on to Mathletics - I've assigned everyone a 3d shape game to play over the weekend. I wonder who will be able to identify the pyramids and prisms!
As part of the school's Keeping Healthy week and to kick off our Ancient Greece topic, we tasted some Greek inspired dips and a range of vegetables. We talked about how many portions of fruit and veg we should all eat each day and what size a portion is. Some dips were a great success and Wesley now wants to introduce them to his family!
Special mentions went to Peyton, Joe, Gracie and Eric and this week's certificate winner was Millie. She has really worked hard to perfect the punctuation she uses when writing dialogue. This week's homework gives children chance to practise their speech punctuation and perfect it before we think about writing our own wishing tales.
Don't forget that Thursday is Sports Day (weather permitting). As we have done for the last couple of years, we'd like all children to bring a t-shirt in their team colours so that we can see clearly who is in each team.
