This afternoon we have been part of a Community project at the Rainbow Park, in Shirebrook. We have been planting trees in the park, at the end of Swanick Avenue. The children were split into into three groups to plant a range of trees with members of the council. The children really enjoyed being outdoors and getting involved with the planting, despite the weather being cold. The children enjoyed using the tools provided to move the soil to cover the roots and stamp the grass back down around the trees to make them secure. We hope we can be involved in future projects too. Thank you so much for our hi-vis jackets. Keep a look out for our photographs in the local paper and on flyers :)
Thank you for being polite, hardworking, superstars!
