Whole School Poppy Project for Shirebrook Church Hall

A big thank you to all the Teachers who have encouraged their classes to make individual poppies for a whole School poppy collaboration to commemorate 'Remembrance' Sunday. The children have created the red petals from printed WW I and WW II war time images and famous wartime paintings by Paul Nash. If the children are allowed their individual black and white images have been used within the poppy centres. All the poppies have then been attached to a 'grassy' themed wall paper filling all the way across, like a field of poppies.

Our School contribution alongside other Schools from the area will be on display at the Shirebrook Church Hall on Remembrance Sunday. Hopefully, you will be able to view and appreciate the images altogether whilst remembering those that have fought for our country.
