Year 2 - Times Tables Rock Stars.

Your children needs to know their 10, 2 and 5 times tables whilst in Year 2. All the children are very good at chanting them. For example 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 etc.

When it comes to times tables, speed AND accuracy are important – the more facts your child remembers, the easier it is for them to do harder calculations. Times Table Rock Stars is a fun and challenging program designed to help pupils master the times tables. To be a Times Table Rock Star you need to answer any multiplication fact up to 12×12 in less than 3 seconds!

Your child should have come home with the Parent Handbook for Times Tables Rock Stars. This contains all the information you need to support your child to become a Times Tables Rock Star. You can also download the free App or play through the internet.

I would suggest that you encourage your child play within the Garage section of the program. This allows them play against the clock but will only get questions related to the times tables I have set. Which will just be 10 x times for a few weeks, until the children become more confident with it. Oh, and they get 10 coins for every correct answer.
