F1 Nursery Update ⭐

The children have now learned our story map 'Old Mac's Farm' all the way to the end of the story and sound great when they are all together, using their voices effectively for the sounds of the weather and the animals. We have also focused on talking about the properties of different shapes, using different shaped 'fields' and sorting where to place the farm animals.
The children have had a great week in the outdoors, channelling their ideas to make a scarecrow called 'Farmer Mac' and then they wanted to pretend they had a farm shop.
⭐ Our Shining Stars this week in the morning class are Amora and Macy. Amora has excelled in remembering key facts about different shapes in the Maths farm acticities. This week, Macy has really enjoyed using and exploring different materials including, felt tip pens, crayons, watercolour paints, flour, rice, pva glue and wool.
Thank you to Macy's Mum for coming in for a 'Stay and Play' session who enjoyed seeing her daughter happy and engaged in lots of different activities including the scarecrow making. It was also Macy's Birthday, which was nice to see that they got time to spend together that day at School.
It was also Ollie-Lee's Birthday this week so we have had a Birthday Bonanza!
⭐Our Shining Stars in the afternoon class this week are Toby and Izabella. Toby and Izabella have both had a very productive week, both children enthusiastically joining in with the story map with huge confidence. Izabella has been really interested in learning about scarecrows after the making and displaying of a scarecrow in our outdoor area. She was intrigued to find out about them and their purpose, seeing different images of them in fields. Toby is enjoying to practise his pencil grip whilst drawing different animals.
Well done everyone, Mrs Edwardson 👩👍
