Year 5 Litter Pick

I'm sure you've already heard all about our planned litter pick on Monday, but here's a reminder of all you need to know...
  • Children will need to come to school in their uniform as usual.
  • We will provide children with all the safety gear they need.
  • They will need to make sure they have suitable outer clothing for the weather conditions on the day.
  • You may wish to send them with a change of shoes (wellies would be ideal).
  • Children will need a coat to keep them warm and dry while we are outside.
  • Unfortunately, for health and safety reasons, children without suitable clothing won’t be able to join us on the litter pick.
Thanks in advance to those parents who have volunteered their time to help us.  We're all looking forward to it!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!

To all the mums, grandmas, aunties  and carers who look after us all - Happy Mother's Day for Sunday! We hope you like our hand-made cards.
From Year 6

PHOTOGRAPHER - SAY CHEESE!
Don't forget the school photographer will be in on Monday and it will be the last chance for the Year 6 to have their photos taken together before moving on to Secondary School. Please let us know if you don't want them to have their photograph taken. They will all be given a copy to look at before buying and there is no obligation to buy. Remembering last years photos, they certainly are special and a lovely keepsake of their Primary School years. So best smiles for Monday!

WELL DONE!

A special mention to Teagan Downs this week for being our Golden Star! Some lively writing for her news report was produced by Teagan during the week and as a result she got to make 'Easter Crispy Cakes' Friday afternoon - yum, yum! So get working hard Year 6 as that could be you next week!

Year 1 Celebrations

This week we had 19 children enter the Reading raffle and once again Olly had his name drawn from out of the bag. Will he make it a hat trick next week?

Well done to all the children who have been reading everyday. Poppy-May, Lilly, Georgia, Filip C, Sienna, Milly, Soni, Archie, Olly N, Benjamin, Nyla-Jae, Sam, Brayden-Lee, Rhia, Molly, Theo, Marni, Reid and Jan.
Theo was this week's Shining Star. He has been working really well during our Maths lessons this week and has also been helping his partner by explaining how to work out some tricky problems.
Keep up the good work Theo๐Ÿ˜Š

Special mentions went out to Bobby, Nyla-Jae, Milly and Justin.
Bobby achieved full marks for the first time this week. Well done for the effort you have put in to learning your spellings.  Nyla-Jae has worked really hard to write her own story despite missing two days off school due to illness. Justin has been very helpful with sharing ideas during group tasks in English and Milly has been very busy this week writing sentences to describe what it would have been like to be a sailor on one of Christopher Columbus' ships.

This week Bobby, Olly N, Theo, Marni, Molly and Nyla-Jae all achieved full marks in their spelling tests. ๐Ÿ˜ŠI am pleased that some children also showed an improvement on their recent scores. Please keep practising.

Mini models

We have had fun doing some baking this Friday for our mummy's. We made them a butterfly biscuit for mother's day and even had one for ourselves at snack time.
