Talent in Year 6!

Art Inspired by Frida Kahlo

In Year 6, we've been finding out about the Mexican artist Frida Kahlo and over the last few days we've been trying to imitate some of her work. She liked to paint portraits of herself and add lots of colour and detail to show her mood and personality. Here are a few pictures of the children at work. Can you spot the monobrow?

Next installment tomorrow! Look out for these coming home in the New Year!

Last day

A reminder that school ends at 2pm tomorrow.  Please remember to bring bags for all of your Christmassy bits and bobs tomorrow!

We'll return to school in the New Year on Monday, 6th January.

Thanks to all the parents and friends who came to join us for the carol concert at Holy Trinity Church this afternoon.  Thanks to Rev. Karen for having us and thanks to Mrs Manders for organising it all.

If you took any photos or videos of the singing, can we please ask that you only share photos of your own child on social media.  Thank you.

Year 1 - Christmas dinner!

Christmas Dinner Day😋

Today in Year 1 we enjoyed a super tasty Christmas dinner cooked by our wonderful dinner ladies! Our plates were filled with veg, turkey, potatoes, sausages, stuffing and we even got to have ice cream for pudding!
As you can see by our smiley faces, we really enjoyed it!

A huge thank you goes to the dinner ladies for their hard work in prepping the meals for today and a massive well done for all the boys and girls who tried to eat all their dinner. (Oh and thanks to our children that wiped down the tables after we had all finished eating ... you can do it at home to help too now!)

Miss Hughes and Miss Chapman enjoyed having the chance to serve the children ... although they were a little confused to start with!

A wonderful day has been had by all ... many thanks again to those who attended the KS1 carol concert this morning and we wish you a very Merry Christmas.
