Healthy Week in Year 6

What an exciting end to the Spring Term we've had in Year 6!

After researching the effects of too much fast food and then planning our own healthy burgers, we were ready to make them.
The children chose their own ingredients and provided me with a shopping list so they could create their own unique burger.
Take a look at some of the photos below of Thursday afternoon's burger making.

Thank you Ajay and family for the delicious burger buns!

On Friday, we worked off our burgers by completing a circuit of exercises to join in with Sports Relief.
Take a look at us flexing our muscles!

Wow! Enjoy your Easter Year 6 but remember to do lots of reading and use your revision guides each day - 30 mins a day will keep your skills sharp.

Mini Models news

We have had a busy week in Mini Models. We have taken part in lots of activities for Healthy body happy me week.  We did lots of dancing on Monday for music and movement, our favourite was sleeping bunnies.

We also liked to read the fruit and vegetable books and talk about what fruit and vegetables we all liked, and which were are favourites. We also took advantage of the lovely weather and played outside lots this week, we have learnt how to play "tig" and it has been our favourite game outside this week.

We have also enjoyed doing lots of Easter activities. We were very creative and made cards to go home and some Easter bunnies using different pieces of white material and googly eyes. Some of the children also liked to try and draw an Easter bunny on the smart board. We have explored different materials in the tough spot too and found some little Easter chicks hiding.

We all dressed up in our sports clothes to raise money for Sports relief 2018.

Here are some more photographs...

Enjoy your Easter holiday, and we look forward to seeing you next half term!
