Year 5 Weekly Update

Well, what a week! A visit from 'the beast from the east'.
Firstly, thank you to all the children who brought their viking shields in! We were really impressed! Thank you to parents for helping your child to make one at home. We are looking forward to the rest coming in and filling up our display.

In other news, we have begun our discussions topic and have enjoyed some mini debates- including whether schools should be closed on snow days. In maths we have been revising the written methods for multiplication and division. We will carry on with division next week. It is clear that the children have been practicing their times tables at home- well done and keep it up!

I hope you are all enjoying a few days playing in the snow.
Don't forget to read this weekend! Here I am doing a little extreme reading :)
If you do some extreme reading too, bring your photo in on Monday!

Stay safe whilst out in the snow and see you all on Monday.
Miss Whysall and Mrs Bradbury :)
