Welcome Back Year 2!

Yesterday we had so much fun making a 'Rainbow fruit salad.' As part of our English work this term we are building up to write a set of instructions. To get the children interested and confident with this style of writing we each made our own Rainbow fruit salad. After they completed the practical activity, they gave verbal instructions of how they completed the given task. We discussed the order we made the fruit salad and used time connectives to give clear verbal instructions. Some children blew Miss Kerry's and Mrs Elliott's socks off using adverbs to give detail how things were done.
Well done everyone - you all worked extremely hard.
Take a look at our delicious rainbow fruit salads.

We peeled, chopped and cut our fruits up...

We poured on pure juice for flavour and sprinkled the pomegranate over the top of the fruit salad.

Then we enjoyed eating them!
