A big thank you

I would just like to say a big thank you to those parents who came to the phonics meeting this morning. It was lovely to see so many faces :-). Hopefully you will have all received the hand out with the games on along with the sheet that shows the colour bands for the new books. If anyone didn't get one and would like one, I've left some spares in Y1.

This half term in RE we will be learning about celebrations. Today we looked at some of the different things we celebrate and why. The children came up with some fantastic suggestions such as Birthdays, Remembrance day, Christenings and Weddings.

Next week we will be looking at what it means to 'belong'. If the children belong to any groups such as dancing, swimming, football etc it would be brilliant if they could bring some things to show us and talk to the class about how it feels to belong to these groups.

Hope you all have a good weekend,

Mrs Brooks
