Breaking news: Dragon in Year 3 classroom

What an exciting week we have had so far.

On Monday morning, we had to go into the hall to register as the 'police' had to investigate the possible sighting of a dragon in the year 3 classroom.

When we were allowed to return, the classroom was in chaos; tables and chairs upside down; scratch marks along the walls and tracks on the carpet. The children loved investigating and collecting evidence like the 'police' had done.

The photos below show this.

We started our new unit of work in English on Monday. Please ask your child to recite our new text map- The Manchester Ridgeback Dragon.

A special mention to the children in the photo below who completed all their homework last week. I have put your smiley on the chart. Well done and keep it up! It would be fantastic to get more children on the photo next week- I love giving out special stickers for each piece of homework and putting smileys on the the chart too.

Today, your child was given a letter inviting you to a clay workshop. Year 3 will teach you how to make a Roman clay pot. This needs to be returned as soon as possible so we can prepare for the afternoon.
