Year 5 News

A new homework task has been set on Mathletics to help the children work on our new unit of multiplication and division.  Get cracking on TTRS too to help with your times tables and division facts.

With the end of term fast approaching, this week has been a busy one and we just didn't manage to fit in our spelling test.  So the children have a few extra days to practice!  We will aim to do the test on Tuesday 17th December.  The children will then have until Friday 10th January to learn their new spellings.  As always, these will be on Spelling Shed so that the children can practice whenever they like.

Take a look at our sewing work!  The children have learnt to do a running stitch and a blanket stitch along with the ever tricky skill of threading a needle!  Some have loved learning to sew so much that they have had a go at home too.

This week's certificate went to Ryan who has really taken to sewing, helping his classmates when they were struggling and even making his own cushions at home.

Special mentions went to Logan, Finlee and Kadie who really pulled out all the stops in their writing this week.  I'm looking forward to reading everyone's change stories this weekend.
