Year 1 Celebration

Well done to Soni who won the Reading Raffle today. A total of 16 children have been reading every day and were also entered in to the Raffle.

Well done to Milly, Lilly, Olly N, Molly and Theo who achieved full marks in their spelling test this morning.

This week the children have started learning a story about Little Miss Muffet. The children have been practising retelling the story using actions. they have also  collected words and phrases to describe spiders and have worked together in small groups to write a spider poem.

To celebrate Diwali, the children have been drawing Rangoli patterns.
In science we have begun our topic on Materials.

This term the children have P.E on  Monday and Thursday.

Spelling Tests will be on a Thursday. A sticker with spelling scores will be put in Reading Diaries either Thursday or Friday, new lists of spellings will also be stuck in the reading Diaries so please make sure they are in school.
