Year 3 news

Happy New Year to those parents I haven't seen this week. I hope you all had a lovely Christmas- it was so nice to hear all the children's news on Monday when they returned to school.

We have had a fabulous start to the new term. The children should have brought home a new text map  for English to learn- The Manor House. We have been rehearsing this throughout the week; having races and saying it with actions. Ask your child to show you!

In Science, we are finishing off our unit of work on 'Forces and Magnets'. We conducted two investigations; one about Friction and one about Magnets. The friction one could be done at home so please ask your child to demonstrate what we did and what we found out.

I have decided to start teaching the class the recorder on a Monday and this will start in a couple of weeks. Don't worry if your child hasn't got a recorder as we have them in school they can borrow.

Have a lovely weekend everyone,

Mrs Manders, Miss Richardson and Mrs Doyle
