We made our Maths active, practicing our times tables in pairs and small groups.
And played a treasure chest game, where the children were active and needed to show good team work, whilst consolidating: estimating, counting and ordering number skills.
The children were fully engaged in the activities and worked brilliantly.
In English, we are now learning the story 'Meerkat Mail, By Emily Gravett.'
The main character Sunny made a visit to our school and he was hiding in different places around school. Our children had the job of locating him in 6 different places before going back to the classroom to discuss the reasons why the children thought Sunny would like and dislike the places he was found - in preparation for next week.
Throughout the day we also got involved in a variety of physical actives and games. We had house races in the hall, got active on our school Trim trail and played 'Tiggy scarecrow' following our Harvest Festival Assembly.
Thank you everyone for a lovely day! We hope you enjoyed it too!
Miss Kerry and Mrs Elliott :)
