It has been a busy week in Year 5!
This week we have been focusing on addition and subtraction and traditional tales. Also, in our topic we have been exploring how the Earth and Moon orbit. We also managed to squeeze in some art with Mr Brown- come back soon to see our finished masterpieces!
In the attendance race our balloon managed to take off and we were awarded 2 points! Keep up the excellent attendance- we are aiming for 100% next week.
This week the certificate winner was Harvey. Harvey has impressed Mrs Bradbury and I with his positive 'can do' attitude to his maths. He was also the first in the class to try out maths challenges. Well Done Harvey!
This week 17 children read every night at home (well done and thank you to those parents who have been writing in their child's home school book). Remember if you read every night you get your name put into the reading raffle. Lets see if we can beat 17 next week.
