Year 2 Class Update

This week Mrs Elliott, the children and I have had a lovely first week back. The children have welcomed a new child to our class and settled in to year 2 class routines very well!
This week we have talked about classroom rules, school expectations and created a 'Pride Promise display.' The 'Pride Promise' is displayed on the classroom door to remind our children as they come into school and into the classroom our rules and expectations. The children really enjoyed personalising their own hand print Thursday afternoon - we hope you like it!

A big 'Thank you' to this weeks helpers: Kia-Mae, Koby, Tillie, Jake B, Tyler, Alix, Reese and Harvey. You have done a fantastic job this week keeping our classroom tidy and making things run smoothly. Well done! I wonder who will be chosen next week? :)

Last week the children began the new school year well with 16 readers reading at home Wednesday evening and beat that Thursday with 19 children reading at home. Let's see if we can improve this even further, we can do it!
Just a little reminder that Year 2 class library will begin this week: Friday 15th September 8.30am-8.45am. See you there!

Have a lovely weekend, be safe! Miss Kerry and Mrs Elliott :)
