This week the children have enjoyed taking part in role play activities during some of our English lessons. On Monday the children pretended to be on the phone to their friend and they had to describe what a Gruffalo looked like because they saw one whilst on their holiday. Maya P was very impressive and sounded very excited to have seen one. She received the weekly certificate for her excellent acting! Well done Maya.
Today was a lucky day for Faith. Not only did she receive her certificate and pencil for earning 100 Pride points but she was also one of the lucky winners of the Reading Raffle.
I am pleased to say that 11 children were entered in to the raffle this week and they have all tried really hard to read every night.
Well done to Riley P, Riley G, Mathew, Mia-Louise, Gracie-Leigh, Oliwia, Rosie-Lea, Keaton, Miya, Daisy and Faith.
Some more children have been busy completing their homework project and we have enjoyed looking at the rockets they have made.
The spelling scores on Monday were very low. Please could you ensure that children have time to practise their spellings. The word lists are linked to the weekly phonics lessons and are words that the children will come across in their reading and writing. Early this summer, the children will be having an important Phonics test, it is important that they practise both their reading and spellings as much as possible.
A letter went home with the children today about a Gymnastics festival we are taking part in on Monday afternoon. Please could children have their full P.E kit in school to take with them to the Academy. We will be back at school at 3:30.
