This last week has been a great success for the teams, children, staff and school as a whole regarding Sport at MVPS. On Monday this week two teams attended the bowls tournament, one of which came runners up of the whole competition (out of 21 teams.) Also today a squad of 12 children participated in the cluster Tag rugby competition - and only went a won the whole event! :) Well done to everyone involved, not to forget Mr Andrews who does a great deal for our school training up children for events too.
The next few weeks are very busy for sport at MVPS. Here are a few dates for you, if your child or children are selected to represent the school within the following teams.
Monday 20th November - Year 5/6 Girls and Boys Table Tennis at Springwell Community School, Chesterfield. 3pm - 6.15/6.30pm. Children to be collected from school please.
Tuesday 21st November - Year 2 Inclusion Festival 1pm-3pm (hoping to be home for hometime...but it will depend on how quick the children walk back from the academy.)
Thursday 23rd November - Year 3/4 Girls and Boys Sports Hall Athletics @ Shirebrook Academy 3.30pm - 5.15pm.
Tuesday 28th November - Year 3/4 and 5/6 Cross Country @ Whaley Thorns. (Time TBC.)
Thursday 30th November - Key stage 1 Cross Country @ MVPS 11am-12pm.
Thursday 30th November - Year 5/6 Girls and Boys Sports Hall Athletics @ Shirebrook Academy 3.30pm - 5.15pm.
