Today, a squad of 12 children, represented our school at Anthony Bek Primary School to play in a tag rugby tournament. Leading upto the event the children have been training each week to pull together as a team and it sure did show! As usual Lloyd, Ella, Tia, Mia, Carrick, Ajay, Darius, Alfie, Jayden. Harley, Alfie and Kai you were an absolute pleasure to take. You behaved well and participated in the event with true Model Village Spirit!
We are pleased to announce that our afternoon was extremely successful and we won the competition!
First from 5 teams within the cluster, huge congratulations! Hard work does pay off!
In the tournament we played 4 games. Won 3 games and drew the other 0-0. You made us proud!
It was great to also have a coach, Pete, from Mansfield Rugby Club there refereeing some of our games. He thought that our team had some great talent - which is always great to hear. In particular he was very impressed with the performance of all of our three girls. So well done to Mia, Ella and Tia!
I have collected some letters and flyers which hold more information about local rugby clubs if your children wish to take the sport further.
Thank you so much guys for an enjoyable, fun filled afternoon! And a BIG BIG BIG well done particularly from me!
