Year 1 News

Thank you to all the children and helpers who have been busy completing their homework project. We now have  a lovely display celebrating the wonderful rockets and designs the children have made.Once again, I have been very impressed with how creative the children have been.

This week the children have created their own Gruffalo and have now started to write their own report about it. The children will be continuing the writing next week and hopefully we will be able to celebrate their work during our class assembly after half term.

Eleven children entered the Reading Raffle this morning, unfortunately we had no lucky winners. Please keep listening to your child read as often as possible. Well done to Mathew, Mia-Louise,
Gracie-Leigh, Oliwia, Nathan, Riley P, Keaton, Livia, Miya, Faith and Daisy.

Lena, Mathew, Riley G and Nikolas all achieved the 100 Pride Points certificate today. Well done to you all! Livia was awarded the weekly class certificate for always been helpful and considerate. Well done Livia!

A newsletter was sent home today which mentions new arrangements for lining up in the morning. Children in Year 1 now need to line up outside their classroom door on Monday. This will hopefully ease congestion in the cloakroom area.
