Please ask your child what we did in Maths today. They needed their times tables knowledge in order to divide 2 digit numbers by 1 digit numbers. The children who did really well, were the children who know their times tables.
Please help your child learn them in this order: 2, 10, 5, 3, 6, 4, 8, 7 and 9's . Remember, they can use their knowledge of 3s to work out the 6s by doubling and the same with the 4s by doubling to get the 8s. The children know a way of working out their 9s by using their fingers- ask them to show you.
When your child knows them all in order, please test them by muddling them up.

Just to let you know- letters went home today with parent/teacher appointments for next week. Please send these back as soon as you can. We look forward speaking to you all next week about your child's progress and what you can do to help them.
